FAQ
Compared to providers of similar products and services your PEP Desk™ database has a smaller number of records. Why? Isn’t it a disadvantage?
Our database is often compared to databases which contain much more information. Those databases may appear interesting on one side but can be completely irrelevant for some internal processes and due diligence checks needed to comply with the regulation. For the purpose of identifying PEPs our Info4C PEP Desk™ is the ideal product as it contains information in line with regulatory requirements and definitions of politically exposed persons. This avoids unnecessary work and maximizes cost-efficiency in matching portfolios of names (minimum effort for analysing results); in addition due to the categorization and structure of our database the client has also the possibility to refine and select only the information needed to comply with the relevant legislation and internal guidelines (the definition of PEPs is subject to differences in different jurisdictions and might be also different from institution to institution as far as allowed by the regulations). Our database assures an optimal due diligence compliance.
For clients who wish additional compliance relevant information on top of the PEP Desks, Info4C offers a separate “Watchlists & Blacklists” database and sanctions lists.
What kind of sources do you revert to for the update of your PEP Desk™?
Sources of information for PEP Desk™ are mainly official government websites (presidency, prime minister & cabinet ministers, legislative bodies, supreme courts of justice, military administration etc.) and official gazettes where laws, decrees, investitures and depositions are published.
How often do you update your databases?
The PEP Desk™ is updated constantly and published every 2 weeks. Standard prices are based on monthly deliveries Sanction lists are updated daily and standard prices are based on deliveries every 2 weeks. Watchlists & Blacklists are updated depending on the list (hundreds of lists in more than 60 countries)
Do you sell complete systems (software) for the client’s portfolio checking?
Our core product is the content but we work together with various IT partners and our databases are integrated in many different IT systems. We provide an online due diligence check.
