Sanktionen: Verordnung über Wirtschaftsmassnahmen gegenüber der Republik Irak
Das zuständige UNO-Sanktionskomitee hat die Liste der sanktionierten natürlichen Personen, Unternehmen und Organisationen geändert. Die Datenbank SESAM wurde entsprechend angepasst. Der Bundesrat hat am 4. März 2016 die Verordnung zur automatischen Übernahme von Sanktionslisten des Sicherheitsrats der Vereinten Nationen verabschiedet. Damit sind Änderungen der Sanktionslisten des Sicherheitsrats der Vereinten Nationen in der Schweiz unmittelbar rechtsgültig.

Sanctions: Ordinance on economic measures against the Republic of Iraq
The UN sanctions committee has amended the list of sanctioned individuals, companies and organizations. The SESAM database has been updated accordingly. On 4 March 2016 the Federal Council has adopted the Ordinance on the automatic application of the UN Security Council’s sanctions lists. Hence, the amendments of the UN Security Council’s sanctions lists enter into force in Switzerland without delay.

Verschärfung der Sanktionen gegenüber Nordkorea
Der Bundesrat hat am 22. Februar 2017 die Sanktionen gegenüber der Demokratischen Volksrepublik Korea (Nordkorea) erneut verschärft. Er setzt damit die Resolution 2321 (2016) des UNO-Sicherheitsrats um. Die neuen Bestimmungen treten am 22. Februar 2017 um 18 Uhr in Kraft.

Tougher sanctions against North Korea
On 22 February 2017, the Federal Council once again tightened sanctions against the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea), thereby implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2321 (2016). The new provisions enter into force at 6pm on 22 February.
